Nope, they’re not crying but they are getting into accidents whether they like it or not. The disorder affects millions of people worldwide and it usually happens when plants go on their pollen production cycles and releases them into the air. Sadly these pollen and other plant products have a nasty ability to cause the sniffles in people and drivers as well. Driving takes a lot of concentration and having the sniffles or the flu due to these allergens is making roads more and more dangerous. More people are opting to open their windows to save on gas and they get their dose of pollen and pollutants that causes uncontrollable sneezing and other judgment impairing actions. Studies in the UK and elsewhere have shown that the increase in the occurrence of such accidents that have been caused by the disorder is on the rise mainly due to higher gas prices. People are told to get medical attention to alleviate the symptoms which may be the only thing we can do to prevent the sniffles from impairing judgment and reaction times on the road.

Uninsured Drivers Beware

crusher.jpgIn the UK that is, for statistics show that many of them that get into trouble with the law and get into car accidents don’t only shell out hundreds if not thousands of pounds to cover for damages, they also get their car sent to the nearest yard for subsequent crushing. Many reckless drivers who fail to get proper insurance get the surprise of a lifetime when their vehicles get towed off to the crushing yards for recycling. This is in hopes of further stressing the point of having and getting the necessary insurance needed for coverage of the many accidents that do occur on UK’s streets. With the many CCTV and traffic police around, the government and townships are making it harder and harder for these selfish people to get back on the road. The only good thing is that these drivers contribute their long loved vehicles to the recycling program where old cars are scrapped, beaten and shredded to make newer cars for them to use (just hope they get insurance next time round).

Global Economic Slowdown Does Not impact the Car insurance Market

economic.jpgIndustry news from the UK shows that in spite of the growing financial crisis that is plaguing global economies, there is no effect on the car insurance business due to the fact that there are more cars being sold day by day all over the world. The data shows that the competitive atmosphere in the industry, especially in the UK with more packages being offered to people from all walks of life are allowing them to get insurance even with the global economic slowdown. That is what many in the US are crying out for, for the insurance industry to become self regulating to allow them to go beyond state lines with better and more competitive packages for all. The good news, the people of the Us are beginning to fight for the same rights which may see more de-regulation in the coming years as the government wants more if not all to get the required auto insurance in that country.

UK Driving Workers Put more at risk

bigrigaccident.jpgInsurance analysts in the UK say that drivers who drive for a living risk more than just their insurance for they often get into fatal crashes. This has been t he result of analyzing data from insurance companies and the many government agencies who gather information according to statistics that paints a very sad picture indeed. Accidents involving career drivers are rising and the need for income is driving some of them to their deaths. Fatigue, lack of sleep and demanding schedules are to blame and the worsening road conditions in the UK are taking their toll. The study conducted by a non-profit road safety charity Brake and Green Flag shows that career drivers are leaving less than a two second gap in between their vehicles and the ones in front o them that does not give them enough time to react to any dangerous situations that result in crashes. Eating at the wheel, aggressive behavior and other factors result in them taking higher risks behind the wheel which should not be an excuse for road safety should always be the priority. Drivers are encouraged to take breaks usually when driving for more than hours and the driving as easy as they can to lessen the accidents that happen on UK’s roads.

Hay Fever – Causes 2 Million Accidents Each Year

hayfever.jpgIn the UK that is and the numbers would surely be greater for the rest of the world. Many people experience allergies during the blooming seasons when plants release huge amounts of pollen in the air as they drive to reproduce. While it is good for crops, it is irritating to drivers and the general public due to the huge potential for allergies. This annual event has necessitated the inclusion of pollen forecasts during the flowering seasons for businesses and vacationers included in the weather forecasts to help people cope with these nasty allergens that sends you into an uncontrollable sneezing spree. In the UK alone, 2 Million drivers get into accidents due to distraction by their sneezes and the lowly sneeze tends to distract people long enough to get them into accidents. At the wheel, a split-second distraction does have the potential to cause an accident for that is all the time that is needed to cause a crash. So do take necessary medication or mother measures to ensure you do get that sneeze under control.

UK Insurer Penalizes drivers for accidents associated with Mobile use

mobile.jpgThe move by an insurance provider to penalize clients who get into crashes while using mobile phones is hailed as a good move by the Institute of Advanced Motorists and will set the trend for many years to come. The government through the Department of Transport sees almost 90% of all drivers who still use mobile phones while driving as a significant risk and the move would greatly improve road safety. Other providers would be sure to follow for it has been made into law that disallows the use of mobile phones while driving due to safety issues. Many people around the world die as a result of mobile use and the insurance provider says that investment in cheap hands free Bluetooth kits for mobiles would be a better price to pay than penalization should you gets into a crash as a result of mobile use.

Number one in the list is Hawaii. With insurance figures up till $12,744, it’s no wonder this was on top of the list. Other figures have contributed their share to lowering the total figure as much as possible but it was still tallied at $59,457.

With the data in mind, Progressive Corp then calculates a rate discount just for the customer. If all goes well, customers can expect discounts up to 25% or even more with less mileage. The program is suitable for minimalist drivers who wish to have the assurance of a well-kept insurance as well as having the benefit of getting the appropriate amount of protection for their minimalistic lifestyles. The only problem with this is the amount of comfort or ease the customers may be losing when subjecting themselves to such contracts. With such information in the hands of the insurance companies, they are losing a little bit more of their privacy and it remains up to them whether they understand the need for the little privacy intrusion for their program to work.

Why the recent trend in falling premiums?

falling-premiums.jpg

A changing market is key to this gladly-welcomed trend. Because of safer cars rolling out into production, the risks of accidents is lowering significantly. Crime is also being more manageable with dropping rates in theft as well as better fraud protections today. Greater competition from others and these other factors have pushed insurance companies to lower car insurance rates resulting in flat auto insurance premiums. In response, insurance companies are now chasing after their new targets, the young drivers which may provide an excuse for high premiums as they are accountable for majority of fatal crashes and other auto incidents.
